The Narrative
There is a profound architecture to the human heart—a structure built from battles fought and wars lost, all in the pursuit of a single, sacred belonging. TO BE LOVED II is a physical meditation on the search to fill the void, a silent longing to lose the self and emerge whole once more, as we were in the sanctuary of the womb.
This work captures the sacrifice of "all that is" for the sake of what could be: a life worth living, a family to call one's own, and a connection that refuses to settle for less. The elongated, reaching form suggests a soul in mid-ascent, yearning for the care and recognition that makes us complete. It is a romantic ode to the vulnerability required to create lives of meaning and the strength required to finally be loved.
