As a lover of classical and contemporary dance, watching the dedication dancers endure — the passion, pain, and suffering required to achieve such overwhelming grace — inspired this work. Tired Feet captures the private moment after the performance, when the effort finally shows.

The original study from which the 200cm monumental pair was developed. A single elongated figure held in stillness — the body stripped of incident and reduced to a sustained vertical gesture. The title names the discipline behind the form: removing emotion to arrive at presence rather than expression.
This is the work in its first resolved scale. Where the monumental edition commands public space, the 110cm study carries the same attenuation and weight into the room — the source point of one of the artist's defining bodies of work.
