The First Breath of Consciousness
Originally conceived in 2004 as the studio’s first monumental study of the male countenance, this work has undergone a profound transformation. While early interpretations focused on the "First Man," the 2025 rebirth of this piece transcends the biological to explore the archetypal.
The elongated, refined features and the high, soaring cranium are not meant to represent a single race, but rather the evolution of the mind—the moment the raw "clay" of humanity was first imbued with a higher, celestial intelligence. It is a study of the spirit's architecture. By stepping away from the traditional, we find a form that belongs to everyone and no one at once: a universal ancestor whose wisdom predates the divisions of history.
This is the return of a foundational work, now cast at a monumental scale to reflect the true height of the human journey—from the reckless struggles of the past to the enlightened focus of the present.
A landmark work marking the studio’s first foray into life-size figurative study.
A tactile exploration of the original form in a lighter, contemporary medium.
